Re: Error Message: "System.Web.HttpException: Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory"
Hi Brandon,

Did you have a chance to check if the provided fixed version of Adillis.SmartDBForms.dll is resolving the problem?

Re: Error Message: "System.Web.HttpException: Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory"

Hi

No, the error still persist.

I was able to narrow things down a bit to give you more direction as to where to look. The problem only occurs when I try to create the fields wether it is in tables or not. If I leave this step out and test all others settings it does not render the problem.

To answer your previous questions:

  • SmartDBtemplates is situated in my root folder being: vfh/SmartDBtemplates
  • The problem page is located at vfh/membersarea/03_ecc/occurencebook/ob_entry.aspx

Thanks for your assistance it speaks volumes

Best Regards

Re: Error Message: "System.Web.HttpException: Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory"
Hi Brandon,

Thank you very much for the information. The problem still seems to be in SmartCssLink component, one possibility is that the paths in smartDBtemplates/templatesStorage.ascx file could  have been automatically changed in some way by Visual Studio.
  • Can you zip and email to support@adillis.com the folder vfh/SmartDBtemplates?
  • Is it possible also to send the ob_entry.aspx page?
If you have any other questions, we will be more than happy to help you.
Best wishes,

Re: Error Message: "System.Web.HttpException: Cannot use a leading .. to exit above the top directory"

Hi

Sorry for my late response.. took a few days off.

I was able to resolve the issue by deleting my website and using my backup site. I installed smartDBforms on it and copied your fix that you previously send me into the backup site. I ran the program and it worked beautifully.

I still have a few questions regarding manapulation of textbox controls i.e. resizing them etc. but will post a new issue soon.

Thanks for all your assistance.
